You can now create Calculated Defect Groups as an alternative to calculated attributes.
If your calculated result represents defects and you want it to:
Appear in the Defects section of the QC Report
Be evaluated as part of the Defects section in the Standard
you should use a Calculated Defect Group instead of a calculated attribute.
How it works
Go to Defect Groups settings: Settings>General Config> Defect Groups
Add a new defect group.
Navigate to the Calculated tab on the right.
Define the formula using the same capabilities and logic available for calculated attributes.
The calculated defect group will behave just like a calculated attribute in terms of formulas, but it will be:
Displayed under Defects in the QC Report
Evaluated within the Defects logic of the Standard
This allows you to better align calculated results with how they are presented and evaluated in your quality process.
