According to Clarifresh's terminology, "attributes" are defined as measurable characteristics, both internal and external, of fresh produce. Examples of commonly used attributes include:
- Brix %
- Acidity
- Diameter
- Size variation
- Appearance
- Color
Attributes should not be confused with properties, which are immutable characteristics. There are five types of attributes:
- Numeric Attribute - A value with a measurement unit, such as Brix or size.
- Calculated Attribute - A value derived from a formula, accompanied by a measurement unit.
- Text Attribute - A series of labels each with an index (e.g., S(1), M(2), L(3) or low(1), normal(2), progressive(3)).
-
Grouped Attribute:
- Manual - Groups predefined with a range of numeric values. For instance, the Color attribute, where computer vision assigns a number to a color, and the system identifies the group it belongs to based on the predefined range.
- Automatic - Groups with numeric ranges defined automatically by the system according to statistical data.
- Defect Group Attribute - Represents the percentage of defects found during an inspection. Its value is numeric, similar to the Numeric attribute, and is internally calculated based on the data in the defects screen. Please refer to defect related content found on the Help Center.
