How to Create Calculated Attributes

Adding calculated attributes is simple. To proceed, follow these steps:

1. Access Settings:
   Go to Settings > General Config > Calculated Attributes.
   Here, you’ll see a list of all the available calculated attributes. Note that some attributes were created by the platform and are view-only.
   
2. Add New Attribute(1):
   Tap on the + button in the top right corner to create a new calculated attribute.
3. Define Attribute Details:
   
   • Enter the attribute name(1).
   • (Optional) Enter the measurement unit(2).
4. Enter the Formula:
   • Input the required formula, which is built from one or two variables and one operator.
   • A variable(3) can be an attribute (all types, including another calculated attribute or defect group), a numeric property, or a constant number.
   • Available operators(4) include: +, -, *, :, Sum, Avg, PCT.
5. Save Your Work:
   Click Save. The new calculated attribute will now appear in the list with its formula displayed beneath.
6. Editing:
   To modify the attribute, click the edit icon (panicle) on the right side of the line.
