The Follow-up feature lets you document what happened after an inspection, whether the shipment was rejected or a corrective action was required.
Add a follow-up
Users can add a follow-up from the QC Report.
- Open the relevant QC Report.
- Click Follow-up to the left of the approved status.
- Select the follow-up type:
- Rejection
- Corrective action
- Enter the relevant follow-up information in notes.
- Click Create follow-up.
Rejection is available for approved inspections only. For other inspection statuses, you can record a corrective action.
If corrective actions are configured for your account, you can select the relevant action from the list.
View the follow-up in the QC Report
Once a follow-up has been recorded, the QC Report displays Rejected, Corrective Action, or the selected corrective-action value.
The follow-up information and notes are displayed in the Notes section, making it easy to understand what happened after the original inspection.
Follow-up information is for internal use and is not displayed on the public QC Report.
Analyze follow-ups in Reports
Follow-up information data is also available in the Reports screen under the General columns:
- Follow-up type — see whether an inspection was rejected or which corrective action was taken. You can also filter and group reports by this field.
- Follow-up date — see when the follow-up occurred and group results by follow-up date.
- Follow-up notes — view the notes recorded as part of the follow-up.
These fields make it easier to analyze rejections and corrective actions across multiple inspections.
